Making Space for Something New

Lately, I’ve been thinking about why I started this little deep cleaning and sorting business.

It wasn’t just to make things tidy. It was about helping people clear the weight they’ve been carrying—sometimes physically, sometimes emotionally. I've worked with people going through big life transitions: death, moving, burnout, or just that quiet moment when you look around and think, this isn’t how I want to live anymore.

There’s a kind of honesty that happens when you open up a dusty cupboard, or sort through old boxes in the shed. It’s not glamorous work. It’s often gets messier before it gets cleaner, it can be slow, sometimes sad, and occasionally hilarious (the stuff people keep!). But there’s always a shift at the end. More light, more air, more possibility.

That’s why I landed on the phrase “make space for something new.” Because when we let go—of clutter, of old stories, of things we no longer need—we make room for whatever comes next.

This is deeply human work. And I feel lucky to do it and have a job where I can help people in a very tangible way.
